IN DETAIL....
LIGHTHOUSE INSPECTION TOUR (SATURDAY, MAY 24)..... Join Monty and Suzie Kaufman at around 0930 for our shakedown cruise to Marblehead, South Bass, and Ballast Island. Then we will return to SSC for a Burger Burn. All Racers and Cruisers invited to participate and/or crew.
WEEKEND SAILING SCHOOL (SATURDAY & SUNDAY, JUNE 7 - 8)….. A fun weekend in the classroom, galley, and on the water sponsored by Alan & Linda Kwiatkowski. Learn new skills, make new friends, and have a good time.
PUT-IN-BAY (SATURDAY & SUNDAY, JUNE 14 - 15)….. Sail to beautiful PIB with Captains Ted and Lynn Ambers to pick up a ball and survey the island.
LEAMINGTON (Friday to Monday, JUNE 20 - 22)….. This is a shared event with the Harbor Bay Yacht Club. Burt and Prue Preston are leading this trip to Leamington to participate in the Taste of Leamington & Fashion Show.
LORAIN SAILING & YACHT CLUB (SATURDAY & SUNDAY, JUNE 21 - 22)….. We will sail to Lorain and visit the International Festival. Meet Mark & Lotta Sommer at 9:00 at 9 under the pavilion for a skippers meeting. We will be leaving the dock around 9:30 for a sail to the Lorain Sailing & Yacht Club. On Sunday morning we will return to SSC.
ISLAND’S RACE PARTY AND CRUISE (FRIDAY & SATURDAY, July 4 - 5)….. There is a large party on Friday evening under the Pavilion and then a great course through the Islands on Saturday ending up back at SSC. The Round House Bar decorations, Palm Trees, and Budweiser Truck make quite a setting for this annual event.
HOSPICE CAREGIVERS (SATURDAY, JULY 5)….. this is a great annual event for a good cause.
MYSTERY ISLAND (SATURDAY & SUNDAY, JULY 19 - 20)….. Annual Club Sail Away. We will sail to a Mystery Island to raft up or anchor. A group gathering for drinks or cooking out will follow an afternoon of swimming, socializing or snoozing. We will then break off for a peaceful night on the hook with a pleasant cruise back to SSC.
STEEPLECHASE AND MBI ANCHORAGE (SATURDAY & SUNDAY, AUGUST 2 - 3)….. Pete and Kathy Kozup are planning a morning departure for Middle Bass Island with a fun race amongst our members in the Steeplechase to PIB and then anchor at Middle Bass Island.
SANDUSKY BAY ANCHORAGE (SATURDAY & SUNDAY, AUGUST 16 - 17)….. After a sail across the bay we will raft up or anchor with trip leaders Steve and Wendy Rankin. A group gathering for drinks or cooking out will follow an afternoon of swimming, socializing or snoozing.
FUNDAY CRUISE TO PORT CLINTON (SATURDAY & SUNDAY, AUGUST 30 - 31)….. We will sail as a group to Port Clinton. The Green Island Race Party is Saturday Night.
CRUISE TO SCUDDERS ON PELEE ISLAND (SATURDAY & SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13 - 14)….. We will sail with David & Abby Taylor to Scudders. Pelee Island is a great place to visit in the fall.
Party Schedule....
These events are held under the Pavilion. In addition to dinner and music they include some pretty interesting activities. Keep an eye on the Cross Bearings for details.

Sunday Morning Coffee Club…
The Sunday morning coffee club will meet at 10:00 on the following Sunday mornings to discuss wind, weather, and destinations.
